Katy Hearn’s seasonal challenges are so popular these days, so popular that they sell out instantly,
But is it actually worth it?
I tried the Winter program, most of us including me was disappointed with this seasons challenge and someone of them even considered the challenge to be SCAM,
*Continue reading to find out which alternative program I recommend instead of Katy Hearn Challenge.
What is Katy Hearn Challenge?
Katy Hearn Challenge is an 8-week intensive body training program that incorporates strength and weight exercises, cardio, plyometrics, and stretching.
There Are two options for anyone who’s looking to take part in the challenge:
- Coached; $200 (exclusive Email and Social Media support from expert coaches)
- Uncoached; $100
It’s up to you to choose which one’s good for you.
These workouts are customized for both home and GYM workouts.
The program is set for 5 days a week where you can get some rest for the other 2 days.

How I Came to Know About Katy’s Challenge?
Four years ago I was in perfect shape, but a few months after my marriage suddenly I started to gain some weight which I did not know until it got worse, after 6 months or so I’ve put on 32lbs (14kg), this got me freaked out even my husband was extremely surprised after he heard about it.
I thought I had diabetes at just 26, but it wasn’t.
I have to go back to my usual look. From then on, I reduced my meals and did everything I could possibly do to get back my golden days, but nothing worked out.
I was so pissed. Whenever I get out, everyone stared at me,
From then on, I was ready to do anything and immediately started searching for a weight training program, and after days of searching for a program, I came across Katy’s Instagram page.
After scrolling through her page for about 20mins and watching her workout videos, that body of her took my eyes off, not to mention her wonderful glutes, this inspired me so much, and I came to know that she conducts this seasonal program.
Without knowing or researching anything about Her or the Program, I immediately downloaded her app and signed up for the Coached Winter Challenge because I’m kind of a person who seeks some assistance in complicated things which I haven’t done before. This cost $200 for enrollment which is not cheap by any means.
After the purchase, you get some fancy extras:
Extras Included With Katy Hearn’s Challenge
- The 8 week intensive body exercise.
- Katy’s Nutrition Guide with the explanation of what micronutrient is.
- Recommended supplements list.
- Private Video library.
- Weekly Check-ins and Personalized Adjustments from FBK coaches weekly (Coached Participants Exclusive).
- Grocery List.
- Access to a Group for Help and Extra support from coaches.
My Experience With Katy Hearn Challenge
All these made me feel like I was into a real threat, but it really wasn’t.
All these extras seem really awesome when you see them, but the outcome was not great. For example, the group for support and help wasn’t active. Basically it was DEAD; also the Food recommended in the nutrition guide was expensive.
The support for Coached Participants was no help; they just copy and paste the same thing in the handbook for all the participants, I came to know this from my friend who enrolled for the summer challenge, and it was just a carbon copy from what I got.
I expected much more, but it was a huge letdown, especially the Email support, I paid an extra $100 for that but it wasn’t the thing they promised, I never got a good experience, even if I got any replies, they were short and never got my answers, just felt like the communication should’ve been better.
You’ll be better off with the Uncoached option.
However, I continued the workouts, each workout was focused on a different muscle group.
After a few weeks, I felt like I was doing the same thing over and over again, plus It feels like that they’ve randomly thrown every workout together.
You can even find the exercises on either Youtube or some other websites on the internet.
We were told to calculate the macronutrients(macros). This was the only thing I clearly understood throughout the program and was something new for me, but my coach refused to check my macros and cardio except for once throughout the challenge.
Also if You’re a beginner, then the workouts in this program aren’t for you. I had some experience in these workouts even before I came to know about this program, which came in handy.
And just wanted to tell you, some of these workouts require you to access the GYM.
Anyway, I thought I could get back to my normal look, if not a simple weight loss, but unfortunately nothing happened, after spending so much, I expected something for me to happen, but it did not.
Katy Hearn Challenge Review (Is it Worth it or Not?)
To be honest, I cannot recommend this program to anyone whose goal is to lose some weight, at least some weight, and especially if you’re a beginner, stay away!!
They’ve mentioned that this program is eligible for beginners, but in truth, it isn’t.
Coaches are lazy, less experienced, the responses were slow, and it felt like this was a half-baked program. To be honest, maybe it was only my coach who knows.
And the workouts were very basic, nothing too fancy. I’m pretty sure that you might’ve done at least some of these workouts before.
Katy Hearn Challenge is great for someone who is looking to get fitness back, have some fun with the workouts, learn something about macronutrients and call it a day off.
If you’re looking to change your lifestyle, this is simply not the thing you might be looking for; I think this challenge would be nice if this was free.
Otherwise, for $200, it definitely isn’t What you think it is.
Pros and Cons of Katy Hearn Challenge
Cheaper and Better Alternative to Katy Hearn Challenge
If I were to do some research before leaning towards Katy Hearn Challenge, I would’ve probably gone with this great program, and that is Bikini Body Workouts by Jen Ferruggia.
After doing some research on google, I found Jen’s program, this time I did my research and everything was relatively positive about Bikini Body Workouts and decided to try this one out.
This was very well priced, and what you get for it is mind-boggling, it was every bit as good or if not better than the $200 Katy Hearn Challenge offerings,
Here’s what you get:
- Home Workout Guide
- GYM Workout guide: if You’re a person who needs quick results, that’ll be helpful for you; there are TONS of exercises here too.
- Video Guides showcasing each workout plan.
- Nutrition Guide.
- Shopping List.
- 21-day booty blast.(katy hearn build a booty pdf)
- The Main Guide and a guide to the supplements you should take and avoid.
All this for just $29.99, which is extremely lower than Katy Hearn Challenge.
Everything in here was just better than Katy’s challenge, everything was detailed, and the workout wasn’t that hard nor easy, also very doable for beginners.
I know what you might be thinking… Who is Jen Ferruggia?
She is a Fitness/health coach, athlete, and a fitness model. She is not as popular as Katy Hearn, but that does not matter here; what we want is results. Jen’s is way ahead of Katy on that. She has helped hundreds of women to get a perfectly toned look and a wonderful bikini body; you can check out the before and after pictures here.
I also had my doubts before starting up and after following her workouts, the results I experienced were simply fantastic, not to mention the booty blast. It’s greatly helping me in reducing the thickness and lifting up my butt.
By the way, this is a 12-week program. Now I’m in my 3rd week and already starting to see some pretty significant differences. I’ve lost 9lbs (4kg) and have become more toned, but there’s a long road ahead.
I’ll try to update the progress every week.
Over To You
Now you might have a clear idea of both of these programs, and I hope this review helped you choose what’s best for you.
But if you’re into what Katy offers, just keep this in mind the challenges these days are done by coaches picked by Katy, not her or her husband, Hadyn.
To be honest, I did to expect much from this seasonal program as it was only just a challenge, but for $200 it’s way behind what Jen’s program offers for a fraction.
However, I’m not entirely against what Katy offers; she’s excellent at what she does for you; it might be a different experience. But if you’re expecting significant changes, Hearn’s challenges might disappoint you.
Thank you For passing by. I hope this review helped.
